I had scouted this location earlier in the afternoon but went off elsewhere to shoot a stunning sunset since that other location had long been on my list of places to photograph at sunset. I couldn't help but feel attached to this barn scene from earlier in the day however so I cut the sunset photoshoot short and raced down the road back to this location just in time to catch some fading color in the clouds. We can only be in one location at a time so sometimes you have to sacrifice in search of greater opportunity even at the risk of coming home empty-handed.
