Grizzly Bear Cub Covering Face with Paw, Lake Clark National Park, Alaska

"Unbearable Headache"

Lake Clark National Park, Alaska

Photo ID# RW6886

Alaskan brown bears, also known as grizzly bears, are an impressive and powerful species. But even more fascinating are the grizzly cubs, which are born in the winter and emerge from the den in the spring.

Grizzly cubs are born small, typically weighing only about a pound, and are blind and hairless. They rely on their mother's milk for the first few months of their life, during which time they grow rapidly, gaining several pounds a week. As they grow, grizzly cubs become increasingly curious and playful, exploring the world around them and testing their limits. They learn important survival skills from their mother, such as how to hunt and avoid predators, and gradually gain independence.

Grizzly cubs are covered in soft, fluffy fur that provides insulation against the cold Alaskan climate. As they grow older, their fur becomes darker and coarser, ranging in color from light blonde to dark brown. Despite their adorable appearance, grizzly cubs are still formidable creatures with powerful jaws, sharp claws, and incredible strength. They can climb trees, swim in rivers, and run at incredible speeds, making them well-adapted to life in the wild.

However, grizzly cubs face numerous threats, including habitat loss, hunting, and climate change. As such, conservation efforts are crucial to protecting these incredible animals and ensuring their continued survival in the wild.

TruLife® Acrylic Face Mount Prints

TruLife® Acrylic face mount prints have a 3d-like appearance due to the metallic print being sandwiched between museum-quality acrylic and a solid backer medium. When light hits the acrylic, it refracts through the artwork and gives off an appearance of having been illuminated from within. These are the most vibrant and detailed prints I offer. Your ready-to-hang print includes a 1/8" acrylic facemount with a clear acrylic or Comatex backing and a rear back mounted floating frame. Estimated shipping time for our TruLife® Acrylic prints is 4 to 6 weeks.
